Monday's Matter FHE: Easter

At our home, and millions of others around the globe, Monday nights are reserved for family.  A Family Home Evening (FHE)!

We had a fantastic Easter lesson in our young women's class at church on Sunday.  One of the young women related a story and I just loved it so I added it to this FHE lesson!

I especially enjoyed the video clip spanning his lifetime accompanied by a beautiful rendition of O Come, O Come Emmanuel by the Piano Guys.

Sometimes I feel like Christmas and the celebration of His birth gets all the attention but it is  Easter and the Holy Week leading up to it beginning with it's Palm Sunday, that is the most important.

If you would like more information on Christ's last week this is a great article.

Opening Hymn:   O Come, O Come Emmanuel by the Piano Guys

Opening Prayer:  Your turn!

Read/Discuss:

Read the following story together.  Discuss it's relationship to the atonement of Jesus Christ.

Closing Prayer: Let's see...how about you? (Yes, I'm pointing at you!)

Activity:

A Push up contest!!  What else?

Treat:

You know it - Donuts!!

{FHE Doesn't Have to Be Perfect, It Just Has to BE!}
