When I was a kid, we lived off of Roseburg and McHenry and never missed a Graffiti night. We used to be able to cruise McHenry back then and we would all pile in the station wagon and get stuck in traffic with everyone else for hours, honking and laughing and Ooing and Ahing at all the cool classic cars. Even after we had gone home for the night I used to lay awake in my bunk bed and listen to the sounds of the fun being had streets away as engines revved and teenagers wolf whistled at each other. I am really excited that the parade route will, again, take in part of McHenry Ave. I am hoping to sit exactly where we sat as kids and share this night with my sweetheart.
